Fight Breaks Out In National Assembly Over Old and New PDP

Information reaching Date360.net from the national assembly complex is that lawmakers loyal to the 7 new PDP governors on the one hand and those loyal to President Goodluck Jonathan on the other hand are in a serious battle of supremacy in Abuja.

The problem which started on the floor of the House of Representatives has spread to the Senate chamber as it seems many PDP lawmakers are ready to dump the party and join the APC.

Governor Rotimi Amaechi and other governors in new PDP, on Tuesday afternoon, went into a closed door and strategic meeting with David Mark, while the chairman of the new PDP, Abubakar Baraje led others in a meeting with Aminu Tambuwal. Their agenda is to:
Convince the leadership of both arms of National Assembly that it would be wrong for Jonathan to remain as President of Nigeria for 10 years, if re-elected in 2015.

They're also considering the option of dumping the PDP en mass should Jonathan refused to step down.
