It was drama galour in the Agege Grade ‘A’ Customary Court when a 29-year-old Nollywood actress, Mrs. Enitan Ogunkeye, who filed for divorce against her husband, Mr. Adekunle Ogunkeye, accused him of dubious behaviour and constant beating, which could disfigure her beautiful face as an actress.
She also accused him of drunkenness. ”My husband drinks a lot and, anytime he drinks, he misbehaves. He has lost respect and reduced in size due to his drinking habit. He has been disgraced many times in public because of his drinking habit”, Enitan said.
She told the court that she could no longer live with the husband because they fight over money frequently.
Meanwhile, the 43-year old husband, a civil servant, said: “I agree that I am a drunkard but we are birds of a feather because we both drink.”
Mr Adekunle told the court that he collected N50,000 from his wife and spent it on expensive items for their son’s birthday because his wife told him some Nollywood actors would be around.

He said he was surprised when nobody from Nollywood came to their house for the birthday:
”My wife is a wasteful spender. As an actress, she sees herself as a celebrity despite the fact that she is not well known in Nollywood,” he said.
The court president, Emmanuel Shokunle, urged them to try and sort their issues and stop living a fake life. He adjourned the case to September 19 for further hearing.
