Emenike faces ban in Turkey for headbutting player

Emenike FenerbahceSuper Eagles striker, Emmanuel Emenike, will face disciplinary action, after the strike appeared to have headbutted Besiktas captain Tomas Sivok, during Saturday’s fesity 3-3 draw.
The powerful frontman continued his fine goalscoring form, with yet another goal for the Yellow Canaries – his fifth of the campaign. However, he is expected to be handed a lengthy ban and possibly a fine, when the Turkish Football Federation meet this week, to look back at incidents that happened during the weekend.
Sahan opened scoring as early as the 9th minute, before Emenike levelled up just three minutes later. Moussa Sow extended the home’s side advantage in the 37th minute, but sloppy defending allowed Hugo Almedia score twice in three minutes before half time.
The incident happened after Emenike protested in the area, demanding a penalty kick, but the referee Cuneyt Cakir saw nothing wrong with Sivok’s challenge. The Nigeria international then appeared to headbutt the Besiktas captain, but escaped with just a yellow card.
