The relative peace of mind and progress that had pervaded the aviation sector in nigeria was shattered this morning with the news of a crash of an associated airline propeller plane at the local wing of the murtala mohammed airport, ikeja, lagos.
The plane which was on a scheduled flight to akure, the ondo state capital came down on vehicles on a highway very close to the airport.
Early reports put the casualty figure at about 20 people. And the sad thing is that on board this plane is the body of former ondo state governor dr. Segun agagu, whose burial is fixed for tomorrow. It’s a sad development really and our hearts go out to the victims and their families.
